I've recruited IT and marketing professionals at a boutique staffing agency since 2016. During this time I've identified and placed top talent with cool companies across the U.S. while simultaneously providing ad-hoc marketing assistance in a small business setting.
I believe recruiting and marketing go hand-in-hand. You can't be a successful recruiter without also being able to effectively market candidates' resumes to clients and your client's culture, mission and benefits to candidates.
How did I accomplish this? By executing email marketing campaigns with creative messaging, publishing flashy social media posts, editing and designing candidate resumes, writing compelling job descriptions, and being influential and positive in all my conversations.
Working at a small business means you wear many hats, which has given me the opportunity to be the go-to for marketing and sales collateral development, social media management, and ad-hoc website editing and updating.
